Wars Cost Money?

Wow.

I gotta tell you how disappointing I found this... some how it was OK to kill innocent people with drone missiles and get American teenagers killed and maimed... but its not OK because war costs money?

I swear that it tastes like somebody just sh#! in my mouth.

Then the lying scumbag pricks in DC get to tell the mothers of the dead soldiers they died protecting America. As a parent can you do anything but try your hardest to believe that lie. What a horrendous betrayal.
This is my own strongly held belief. Anybody who votes Democrat or Republican has (unbeknown to them) been a traitor to the US. Count me in. I voted for that lying bag of corruption Obama. Never again. All those crooks need voted out.

...maybe voting's too good for them.

I left the top of the ticket blank last time; fat lot of good it did. We need to put “none of the above” on the ballot. If nothing else, when it’s nearly a three way tie then these clowns can’t claim they have some kind of mandate or that they are somehow popular.

Dan

Folks:

The U.S. is not broken... it is the 2 dominant political parties that are broken... the framework is there... we need a new party... and we are going to get it eventually... it is our job to make sure its not worse than what we now have.

Who said, "if voting actually changed anything it would be illegal"? The two parties themselves are just part of the dog and pony show. Get rid of the central bank ( and they won't allow themselves to be voted out-ask JFK )to get real change.

The 2H1P truly is the problem... and I no fan of the Fed, but me thinks they are small potatoes next to the 2H1P.

Dakin has a point.

"Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." Rothschild

"A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men who, even if their action be honest and intended for the public interest, are necessarily concentrated upon the great undertakings in which their own money is involved and who necessarily, by very reason of their own limitations, chill and check and destroy genuine economic freedom." Woodrow Wilson (who allowed the Fed to be made)

Breaking up your 2H1P monster is next to impossible. The sheep are convinced all problems are due to the other head. The wolves don't want their food supply messed with. After all congress is bought and paid for. We would be better off if we did have Dr. Doolittle's Pushmepullme running the show. At least we could shoot it.

I agree with Dakin. The root of the problem is the fed. The 2H1P is a result of that centralization and all the effects it sends forth including campaign finance, etc.

If this land is ever to be a republic again the fed must go.

The failure of the Tea Party got me to thinking about the problem with third parties. We had a real grassroots attempted to move in the directions of freedom and conservatism; then Pinhead Palin somehow managed to get out in front and corral them all back to a more of a phony-piety rightish totalitarianism. Any attempts on the left to move away from the PC authoritarianism hooey will likely meet with similar results; same fecal-matter different faces. That is not to say the majority are happy with the nanny state I think most Americans tend toward freedom and conservatism sort of like the original tea party. What I think it does mean is that it will take a lot more energy to get out of this hole than it took to fall into it. it also means that the way out will not be a gentle shift in direction but more of a radical jump because any movement away from Statism will have to be extreme enough that our current politicians will not want to attempt to lead it. it is probably also why these things always seem to jump out of the blue, the pressure is building like Clausewitz's steam but it has nowhere to go until it bursts forth with a fury that nothing on earth can stop. Woe unto us.

Dan

I am receiving you loud and clear with the exception that I don't blame Palin. She is a non-event.

I haven't pulled it all apart enough to come to a firm conclusion... but the T-Party folks failed at their first test, spending cuts, right from the get go. Perhaps they didn't have the votes... or perhaps they did not have the balls.... but its been down hill ever since.

Worse, the loonies are running the f***ing asylum and risk real damage to the concept and cause with Pols like Bachman.

Jeffers,

The Tea party wing is the part holding out over the Debt ceiling. The establishment republicans are trying to play it down the middle. I hope the traditional Small government/high tariffs/No nation building/low taxes republicans regain a foothold in the party. This has been somewhat of a cyclical thing over the last 150 yrs. I don't think it is necessarily 2p1h as much as it is the basic human desire to be liked by friends, adversaries and the press. Not many men can stand for the flatteries of fame and power.

I mean down the middle as raising taxes in exchange for spending cuts. If you can't balance the damn thing, then don't pass anything except a bill saying debt will be paid first and everything else after, the markets won't have a reason to react if debt payments are kept up. The debt cap stops the overspending and automatically balances the budget if nothing is passed.

The only thing remarkable about Palin is that she managed to get out in front. My point was if not her then someone else from the establishment. There is a good chance we will get to see the same thing on the left since the left hates Obama. As far as Sarah Palin goes while I wouldn’t vote for her, I don’t loathe her either. I give her the Pejorative because it fits; either she is dumber than a box of rocks or an utter genius that has managed to dupe the world. Either way she’s earned it. She has claimed the torch from Pinhead Panetta.
