How the Social Conservatives and the Feminists MIGHT bring down the West

I find it kind amusing, and hugely ironic, that I find myself coming to the rescue of 2 Leftist Jackasses in 1 week.

First, John Edwards... and now Anthony Weiner.

Sexual fidelity should be the ideal. Failing this ideal must not be judged too (or so) harshly.

Before you freak out on me... give me a minute and lend me an open (and un-hypocritical... I know what you have done) ear.

Let me start with my assertion. It is BEYOND un/non P.C. Here it is:

If the Social Conservatives and feminists persist in their criminalization, demonization, and voyeur like outing of sexual transgressions, the result will be that people will stop everything else that society considers positive long before they will stop having sex! Or thinking about sex, or asking members of the opposite sex, or tweeting about sex, or visiting porn sites to watch sex...

They will stop marrying, with all of that outcome's concomitant effects (take the African American population's issues - things like 75% of children being born to unwed mothers and 90% of African American children needing government food assistance at some point in during their childhood - and spread it around to the white/hispanic/asian American communities): They will stop forming committed families, stop having 4th of July BBQ's, stop saving for their children's college, and taking them to little league, etc... BEFORE they would let you force them into not having sex.

If you folks persist at outing people's transgressions... young people WILL RESPOND! (Old people, people over 40, don't grasp this... hey folks, we're done! Stick a fork in us! We are stuck where we are! The young are not). And they won't respond by changing human nature ONE F***ING BIT. They will respond to the OTHER side of the equation! They will not commit to a family unit! Rather than being humiliated and made a spectacle of (much like this generation's response to watching their contemporaries become devastated financially in divorce court) by this unbelievable technology we now have of watching everybody, all day, every day... the next generation will refuse to be drawn in! THEY WILL ARRANGE THEIR LIVES AS FREE AGENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But they will have sex. And that means babies. And without committed, EVEN IF IMPERFECT, relationships by their parents that means multiple fathers for most mothers, mix and match families, often more grandparents than cousins, and the MAJORITY of children will grow up in America suffering from the same issues now plaguing the African-American minority.

The internet, smart phones, and video technology along with asinine political agendas are going to overwhelm us. In fact, I think they are going to destroy us if you jag-offs keep it up.

People ALWAYS respond. There are ALWAYS unintended consequences. For years now, women have been betraying their lovers and claiming victimhood; today a man rented a billboard to proclaim his ex aborted his child!  You think these are unrelated? You have rocks in your head. Everybody is a victim. And everybody is entitled to shout the most personal information on the Internet (or in this case, a Billboard). We have Reality TV shows that follow cheating spouses and lovers! How much longer before we have a web site detailing your abortions? This does not belong in the public domain... but its impossible to stuff the shaving cream back in the can....

In your battle to scratch each other's eyes out you Social Conservatives and Feminist/Liberals might just bring down the house around the rest of us.

I beg you to stop what you are doing.

I rather think that the Bernanke press conference today was so dramatic that the sexual excapades of our famous and infamous will pale in comparison to our larger problems. Got Food????

Jeffers,

The guy is a class one liar and crybaby. He got exposed and that is politics. He should not be sending pictures to 21 yr old college girls of him jerking off. That is what the last picture is. He is a phony and a shame to say the least. . The guy is married and that still should mean something, cheating on your spouse should be something universally looked at with revulsion because it destroys family much more than people preaching the virtues of a moral life. In Wieners case he preached the morals of redistribution, entitlements, caring for the poor, etc ad nausea and in the words of Pelosi cleaning the swamp up you better actually like clean up the swamp and you know care for the poor. IF you remember that Pelosi and the dems used that Idiot republican who was doing dudes in the bathrooms to ride into power in 2008 on the culture of corruption. Weiner is a sniveling little weasel; he actually started his press conference by saying "I lied to myself". Plus before he was caught he used his little helpers at msnbc, salon and new republic to blast Breitbart for 5 days even insinuating that he was the hacker that sent tweet of his junk. He never contacted the FBI because then he would have filed a false police report and kicked out by ethics committee. Breitbart was right; he had the pictures and exposed the dirt ball. If a man can't make better decisions than sending perverted pictures over the internet you would think he would not make good decisions in other areas. Our leaders should be held to higher standards because they are the face of our government. This is besides the fact that this man is a far left bomb thrower and as they say all is fair in love and war.

When Rome conquered Gaul they didn’t think the current wine producing regions of modern France would be any good at producing wine because it was too cold. Then approximately a melinum ago they were growing wine in Brittan and in 1086 there were vineyards in forty two locations listed in The Doomsday Book. Then they died out in the littlie ice age only to be replanted in the 1970s.

As the climate changes the range changes so focusing on the southern end of the range one would miss new opportunities at the northern end. If this works with grapes, then why not with wheat? Climate change doesn’t worry me; what I find worrying is that there are five species of wheat that account for the overwhelming portion of world what production. Occasionally we switch strains, the current variety of short stemmed wheat don’t wave like the older amber waves did, however they do need less water. However new species always seems to be to increase diversity but always to deal with a problem with the old variety. Whether short stem wheat to deal with water issues In the us or the new strain they are breeding in Asia to be resistant to a new rapidly spreading wheat rust that cuts yields by 60% it always seems to be a replacement never an addition. Concentrating the risks like this seems like this seems to be the height of hubris to me; especially since there is no reserve.

If that isn’t bad enough we are collapsing the world’s fisheries. Seen Orange Roughly on the in the freezer case lately? The steelhead slime fish aka Orange Roughy has a lifespan of 150 years and doesn’t even breed until it’s 50! How long are we going to be harvesting at current rates it before it collapses like Cod.

Dan

Also, the introduction of short stemmed wheat also coincides with the explosion of autism and limiting bread consumption seems to help the autistic; however no one seems interested in investigating it. I know correlation doesn’t mean causation but I would think it is a good candidate for a study. It’s similar to there never being an investigation of the link between the radioactivity of tobacco and cigarettes causing cancer. Have you ever wondered why there is study after study on whether cigarettes cause cancer but never a study as to why or what to do about it? The solutions are prescribed by politics and we can’t even look for reasons that may point to solutions for political or economic reasons.

Hi Greg. I agree with your comments, and its the same path we've taken with our interaction with other people's children.

In Britain, after years of media sensationalism, such is the concern with possible accusations of child molesting that most adults will have almost no interaction with other people's children, certainly never offer to look after them or be left alone with them. There are almost no males entering primary school teaching. This means that children, especially those with single mothers, will grow up with NO male role models at all!

Its much better in France and Italy where this craziness and paranoia hasn't overwhelmed common sense. There, if a child in the street falls over, the nearest person (male of female) would automatically pick it up, comfort it and give it back to its parents. If a man did that in Britain, he'd probably be investigated!

We have to reverse this paranoia that everyone is a molestor, or a pervert, or a sex cheat, when in reality everyone is just a human (including politicians!), faults and all.

But those human fallibilities make politicians easy meat for journalists - far easier and safer to go after their sexual failings than going after the theiving banks or military back-door deals, or genuinely crooked, or drugs dealers!

I just saw an interview with the gum-chewing subject of Weiners' affections. I'm sure she's pocketed a sizable sum. Maybe he should be castigated - but for poor taste and judgement!

The destruction of the ancient land races of wheat, corn and rice have also led to poverty and starvation across the globe as well contributing to the mass migration to cities. It's an act of resistance to plant the oldest varieties of any staple crop you can, even if you do nothing but save the seed.

Donal,

Are you both Donal Lang and Donal? I am confused on that. Donal comes up black at top, while Donal lang is in color.

Dex:

That Anthony Weiner suffers from multiple mental illnesses has been apparent to me for years.

But many issues are not germane to the larger discussion:

How old his "friends" are is not relevant (provided they are adults). My wife is much younger than I am... so what?

The subject of the discussions and communications between Weiner and his friends? How is that my business? Did he have sex with anyone besides his wife? He seems to have been carrying on these "discussions" for years - presumably during their courtship and through their short marriage: his wife seemed to like/love him enough to marry him.

Did he have some secrets? Who The F Doesn't??

There are only a couple parts to a larger issue here:

Are we, the human race, ready to confront the TRUTH about who and what we are? Really? Well, we better be.... because the internet and technology is going to out us all.

A Quaker in a Strange Land said...

There is also a slippery slope here, though the vast majority cannot see it.

Today we are intercepting and outing communications. Tomorrow? Web searches, sites, visited, healthcare records (use viagra? treated for HPV? had an abortion?), photos of people changing in the locker room... academic records, employment records... the list goes on and on.

I think it is too late. We should have looked before we leapt... but special interest groups don't play chess... they don't look ahead.

Kathy, Greg,

I read an article complete with Math and Charts that showed decreasing year to year variation in crop yields over the last 50 years as well as a pretty straight line upward trend in production. The fact that increases are not coming at the same rate is not surprising, as the low-hanging fruit, so to speak, has been picked.

Blaming every bad weather event on "climate change" is not science, it is propaganda. If one attributes every good thing that happens to Joe, and every bad thing to Mike, soon Joe is a hero and Mike is a villain.

The last half of the 20th century has had relatively calm weather. Perhaps we are leaving the lull in bad events. The problem is, nobody knows.

To Dan's point, the wheat belt has moved hundreds of miles north over the last century.

Regards,

Coal Guy

The wild gyrations are what one would expect to see if we are approaching a critical point. Since it is already at a tipping point any adjustments will have outsized effects.

Greg Stop blaming feminists. These guys Spitzer , Edwards, Weiner, Sanford , Arnold and the rest of them are low lifers with no impulse control( can't keep the zippers up) and very large egos.Hypocritical liars--all of them---scumbags and I have no sympathy for them or would I for females acting the same way, I feel sorry for their long suffering wives---all of them, but especially Jenny Sanford who is a Georgetown graduate and gave up a very lucrative career to marry the A-----e who was flying off to Argentina (on taxpayers money I believe)to be with the love of his life ( oh please) while his wife is home taking care of their four young boys, Give me a break!!!!!
