The American Justice System Out Of Control

John Edwards is only the latest in a long line of political prosecutions.

Edwards absolutely, positively did not violate any law enacted by our elected representatives. Why then, is he being subjected to the risks of our increasingly unreliable juries?

Because the Feminists are furious at him for cheating on his wife. That's what this is about. Is it any wonder that marriage is going extinct?

Wall Street and the Banks colluded to rob millions of $trillions, nearly sinking the financial system and risking martial law... and not a single high level prosecution? Cheat on your wife, though, and you can expect to spend millions upon million in legal fees and years of your life in legal limbo with the real risk of prison.

Understand this. Its important.

It's amazing how in a few generations the social contract has been shifted 180 degrees. Historically speaking a man of 'substance' (meaning wealthy, which Edwards definitely is) was not looked down upon if he had a mistress in addition to his wife; it was almost expected. Now, well, he's getting punished more than the average inside stock trader felon.

The wife to a man of substance was expected to come to their marriage a virgin, to hold only to that man, and was outcast from society if she did otherwise. Nowadays, it's playtime until the baby alarm starts ringing. After marriage, there's cash and prizes for divorcing the husband for any reason whatsoever; no fault divorce means that the man pays in over eighty percent of the cases.

The Millenial men have taken note of this. Generation Y guys are saying no to marriage, along with the burned gen X fellows. The whines of "Where is my Prince Charming?" are getting louder and louder.

That's why I love the Biblical commands to husbands and wives in Ephesians 5. Husbands are to love their wives and wives to respect their husbands.

No mistress and no leaving for the divorce prize. It's a covenant you are expected to stay in.

I imagine him being a White political figure helped as well. Had he been a Republican the Feminazi's would have been positively orgasmic about getting him to trial.

Could it be that we have reached Peak Obesity?

A Harvard study that looked at Boston area youth from 2004 to 2008 found a slight, but noteworthy *decrease* in childhood obesity rates after decades of increases.

Perhaps the study comes too soon to credit the increased cost of food and downsizing of some food packages in response to increased food and commodity prices. The article and study itself wants to credit government nutrition education and other initiatives for the drop.

If we aren't yet at Peak Obesity, we might be on the plateau, however.

Peak Obesity? Or saturation point.

As I have never met a Pro-Life Vegetarian, neither have I met a wealthy, attractive man that has been entirely faithful in a long term marriage.

This is a venal sin, not a mortal one, me thinks. In the past, we all just denied it. The Feminists know the truth of it, and used this phenomenon to break up marriages and families.

People are not perfect... Feminist make perfect the enemy of the good (marriage and family)... and the bible thumpers unwittingly help the Feminists destroy families.

Saturation point?

Good question.

John Edwards had a lot of political enemies which inspired the prosecutors to go after him. It is similar to when Bill Clinton was the subject of impeachment hearings which centered on an affair. The real victims here are his young children. It's pretty tough to have your mother die and your father spend his life in jail isn't it. Don't you think he might have considered this before getting into trouble? You think as a trained successful trial lawyer he was unaware of the laws he could have been accused of breaking?

Marriage in the US has turned from an institution which enslaved women for years to an institution which now enslaves men. As a result many young people are not getting married. But maybe that is a good thing in some ways. People don't have to be tied to a legal arrangement to love and provide for children. there is no stigma or shame for a child to grow up in a home with unmarried parents, or single moms or single dads, or two mommies or two daddies.

You might want to read up on George Holding, the federal prosecutor who pursued John Edwards. He is an ultra right wing conservative republican appointed by George W Bush and now running for Congress. Probably he pursued Edwards to gain popularity with the right wing anti-liberal, anti-feminist lobby. Not the type of person you would label as trying to gain points with the feminists.

I know I live with a different group of people but neither me or my wife nor our friends are enslaved in our marriages. I take seriously my role of laying down my life for her and she responds to that in the most amazing ways. It's an incredible feedback loop.

I know it's not the case for everyone but you can't paint marriage with such a broad brush as to make it look like it's an impossible dream. Sometimes things happen we can't control and that's too bad but sometimes we contribute things to the situation that we didn't have to.
