They zone out. I am from that mold, however, and I just naturally mentally "blank out" commercials. I think George Will said something about how no one has ever proved massive spending in a campaign has any real effect anyway, but I may have that wrong.

Anybody notice we are overflowing in oil and gasoline and natural gas again? :)bureaucrathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03869739125758038029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99704500378481622.post-26135039220044016342010-01-29T07:47:15.207-08:002010-01-29T07:47:15.207-08:00Bur,

The $1,000,000,000 that got spent on Obama's campaign wasn't from $50 and $100 donations. The small donations are more of a Republican phenomenon. BIG money backs the Democrats in percentage terms. Those corporations LOVE their regulations. The Democrats love to regulate. The biggest corporations want the best regulations they can buy.

Regards,

Coal Guy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99704500378481622.post-72010640895011845862010-01-29T06:20:24.166-08:002010-01-29T06:20:24.166-08:00This decision doesn't bother me much, perhaps ...This decision doesn't bother me much, perhaps it's my cynical side showing. Politicians and money will get together, it's like pigs and mud. Campaign reform should be tackled from the other end, the reporting end. Let's have some transparency here! Report all campaign contributions within 2 working days, on a government web site. Heavy penalties for not doing so, minimum 20-1 fine, levied right then.
"By their friends shall ye know them."tweellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164718561825615886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99704500378481622.post-69305555887327476652010-01-28T21:03:23.304-08:002010-01-28T21:03:23.304-08:00Maybe it's just my age, but TV commercials ful...Maybe it's just my age, but TV commercials full of politicians (and in Chicago we have a lot of them right now) running have very little effect on me, just like all advertising.
